MPA pushes for police pay increase |
April 4th, 2006 - City
Council approves pay plan.
MPA
proposed a much needed pay increase for the Police Department, to City
Council Members in January 2006. In February, City Hall submitted
their draft for a new pay plan. Together Police and Fire and HR revised and
agreed upon a new proposed pay plan. Council voted to approve the new pay
plan on April 4th, 2006. This pay plan benefits sworn police and
firefighters and effectively moves McKinney police officer's starting pay up from 12th to 3rd among the benchmark cities.
The McKinney Police Association would like to thank the McKinney City Council
for listening to the concerns and needs of their public safety personnel and
quickly responding. |
