McKinney Police Association - About Us

Our Mission Statement

The McKinney Police Association exists to enhance the police officers effectiveness by strengthening community relations, civic commitment and representation.

The McKinney Police Association was founded in November 2000.   MPA serves the community by participating in several local charitable events as well as by making monetary donations to local charitable organizations.  Our members are involved in various community related activities and each year we award our MPA Scholarship to a deserving McKinney High School student through the McKinney Education Foundation.  We also strive to resolve work related issues that affect our members,  as well as providing important social activities.

Programs
Some of the programs and fund raising projects McKinney Police Association supports include
McKinney's Relay for Life which benefits the American Cancer Society, McKinney's Community Lifeline Center,  the McKinney Education Fund helping students from our local high schools, "Partners Against Crime" golf play day benefiting Serenity High School,  and a chili cook-off benefiting the Special Olympics.

Membership Dues
Membership dues are $10 a month and can be paid in conjunction with your TMPA dues or can be paid directly to our association through payroll deduction if you choose.  Applications are available  by contacting any of the association board.

The financial base for the MPA is through membership dues, sponsorships and donations from businesses, groups, and concerned citizens within our community.
